Mission
Holy Family Catholic School is committed to providing a Catholic education that teaches the way of Jesus Christ. Through the helping hands of teachers, staff, parents and parish community, each child is encouraged to grow in mind, body and spirit. Holy Family Catholic School strives to enrich the students with love and knowledge by living the Catholic faith.
Philosophy
Holy Family Catholic School is identifiably Catholic in spiritual philosophy and community spirit. Academic attitudes and instructional programs are built on this strong foundation of Christian principles. A primary goal is the development of the total person through programs which nurture spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical growth. We firmly believe that religion, respect, and responsibility are critical to the growth of Christian attitudes and values.
Program Objectives
In pursuit of our primary goal of total personal development, Holy Family Catholic School operates on well-defined academic objectives designed to:
- Foster spiritual growth and moral responsibility through programs which emphasize and build an understanding of Christian beliefs.
- Provide a qualitative academic program, which meets the needs of each student and promotes optimal individual achievement.
- Promote effective work habits and study skills.
- Create an atmosphere which encourages growth in the important areas of social sensitivity, responsibility, and self discipline.
- Offer a course of study which fosters awareness of our cultural heritage.
- Develop creative talents and engender an appreciation of aesthetics through experiences in art, music, and drama.
- Provide physical education and sports programs which develop athletic skills and promote good health and wholesome competitive attitudes.
Strategic Plan
The advisory council along with school teachers, staff and parish representatives met on August 29, 2009 to update the strategic plan. Here are the outputs from that meeting.
August 2009 Strategic Plan (pdf)
This is an on-going process and will be updated annually. The results of this plan will be incorporated into the daily activities of the school, parish and family members by assigning action items and goals.
