Facilities

Our academic facilities are adjacent to Holy Family Catholic Church, which is located on the west side of Fort Worth near Interstate 30 at the Bryant Irvin exit. The school offers complete academic programs for students from kindergarten through eighth grade. In addition, there is a prekindergarten program for three and four-year olds and a before and after school extended day program. Extensively remodeled in 1984, with additional classrooms and gymnasium built in 1993, the school includes a science laboratory, computer laboratory, cafeteria, and a 10,000 volume library. The campus has a spacious playground and field area which accommodates softball, baseball, soccer, and track activities.

Stained Glass Window

2008 Stained Glass Window

The late Mrs. Lina Silvestri was tremendously fond of Holy Family Catholic School and its students. Because of her devotion and support, her son, Mr. Delio Silvestri, donated a stained glass window in her loving memory. On August 29, 2007, Father Joseph Pemberton blessed and dedicated this special tribute to Mrs. Silvestri in a touching ceremony with students, faculty, staff, and the Silvestri family in attendance.
The window, which is in the school library, depicts the Holy Family, with Jesus teaching students. "The Holy Family Catholic School community continues to be blessed by God," said Principal Dr. John Shreve. "Mrs. Silvestri and her family will always be a part of our school and will be fondly remembered."

Murals

The school library and cafeteria are painted and decorated with murals celebrating the life of Jesus. The murals were painted by Jo Dufault with the help of her daughter, school parents, and students.

On the west wall of the cafeteria is an illustration of Jesus standing near the sea teaching His followers.

  • The library is arrayed with murals depicting important moments in the life of Jesus.
  • The library murals include: The Stories of Jesus, The Angel Visits Mary, Jesus is Born, Jesus and the Teachers, Jesus and the Children, The Lost Sheep, Jesus is Tempted, Palm Sunday, The Last Supper, The Crucifixion, and He is Risen.
